Well the bite is on. 20lb. Salmon and all the Brown Trout and Laker's you want. A lot of the older Captains are saying it's the best spring fishing they've ever seen. I know of several Salmon between 23 to 25 lbs. being caught yesterday out of Oswego harbor. The reason for the terrific Salmon fishing is are net pens where we raise 40,000 Salmon a year and release them when they get about 6 to 7 inches long . They always come back to that Oswego water. The Browns have been there for 40 years that I've been fishing them, and they will be there to at least until August. The Lake Trout are back after being gone for 6-7 years.   

Well, the spring fishing is right around the corner. By all reports from the river guides, this should be a fantastic season. The unusually warm winter has shown many big fish in the rivers and around the shore lines. There was so much bait available last year the fish will be plentiful. The spring special is a 6-hr. trip for $480.00 or an 8-hr. trip for $600.00. This offer is good until July 1st, 2012.

The 2011 season was fantastic. All the fish were heavier this year because of so much food available. The Brown Trout fishing was as good as I've ever seen it. Majority of catches were limit catches. We had Browns right into August. Are biggest of the year was 17lbs. The Salmon showed up the 30th of June. The last 3 or 4 years we've had a real good run of Salmon in July. This year was exceptional. August and September was really consistent. Much steadier fishing then the last couple of years. Not as many storms to contend with. Our biggest Salmon was 33 lbs. The lake trout fishing starting to come back real strong like it was 15 years ago. I'm in Florida now looking forward to along season of playing tennis.
